so the adventure ends soon. too soon.
i never know what to say any more. no one knows both my worlds. it seems either repetetive or foreign altogether.
jon and i are on the same flight to london with hours to kill in heathrow, so we should find something fun to do and it'll make the long trip and goodbyes easier!
spent time with mccarthys tonight - always a pleasure. ((sigh))
oh and daniel's so cute, he played today in church and he does such a good job and i just want to pick him up and carry him home with me but he's too tall for that now. so i just have to settle for mocking him and smacking him on the nose as often as possible. ha!

good night.

i have to keep it short.

solid rock was the first night & the outreach to the industrial area guys (giving out jackets and toiletries) . . . the highlight of the evening being the squad of indian guys who burst into dance at the worship music . . . but uh, it wasn't looking like very worshipful dance (or at least not worshipping of God) . . . i decided to laugh because at least we lightened their moods if not much else.

been mostly on al jazi: FRIGID night swims, diving boards, taking Sandy the dog to 'fat camp' three times a day (aka lots of walks), happy new years on the roof looking at the fireworks from the big hotels nearby and the glittering sky scrapers 1/4 a mile away, movies, building tents out of the furniture in the livingroom, playing "greed" and working on puzzles, etc.

went out on the boat for a few hours and that was nice, too.

threw jello off the roof. our new one will be to have 2-man teams and launch jello off the roof to teammate who will attempt to catch in their mouth. team with the least amount of jello on the ground at the end wins.

p.s. i love having a camera here!!

good bye, psycho drivers.

good bye, diplomatic club.

good bye, maid's quarters.

good bye, roof top.

good bye, limo.

good bye, tinted windows.

good bye, diablos, aston martins, bmws, and custom cars.

good bye, freezing theatres.

good bye, scalding tap water.

good bye, qatari sunset.

- Hold Me Jesus

well sometimes my life just don't make sense at all
when the mountains look so big
and my faith just seems so small

so hold me, Jesus
'cause i'm shaking like a leaf
you have been king of my glory
won't you be my prince of peace

and i wake up in the night and feel the dark
it's so hot inside my soul
i swear there must be blisters on my heart

so hold me, Jesus
'cause i'm shaking like a leaf
you have been king of my glory
won't you be my prince of peace

surrender don't come natural to me
i'd rather fight you for something i don't really want
than to take what you give that i need

and i beat my head against so many walls
now i'm falling down, falling on my knees

and this salvation army band is playing this hymn
and your grace rings out so deep
makes my resistance seem so thin

so hold me, Jesus
'cause i'm shaking like a leaf
you have been king of my glory
won't you be my prince of peace
